I incorporate a variety of evidence-based techniques drawn from both established and contemporary modalities. My work integrates methods such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, interpersonal neurobiology, trauma-informed care, psychodynamic therapy, energy psychology, mindfulness-somatic theory, multicultural psychology, and family therapy. Each approach is carefully tailored and integrated into our work together to address your unique challenges, and achieve tangible results and improved outcomes.

Yes, I offer online sessions through a secure, HIPAA-compliant telehealth platform. Virtual therapy has shown to be an effective and accessible mode of treatment that allows clients to engage in counseling from the comfort of their own home without the added stress of travel. Research indicates that remote sessions can be just as effective, and in some cases even more so, depending on the unique needs and circumstances. It is important, however, to choose a space where you feel safe, comfortable, and free to express yourself openly so that you can fully benefit from our work together.

The length of therapy depends on your personal treatment goals. Many clients experience significant relief within a few months when addressing targeted issues, while others choose to continue exploring deeper work. In every session, the aim is for you to experience meaningful emotional shifts, enhanced self-awareness, and improved sensory and bodily experiences that signal a growing alignment of your heart, mind, and body. Throughout our work together, I will remain your dedicated ally, supporting your growth and healing every step of the way. I am here to nurture your well-being in the present moment while fostering your long term development.

Finding the right therapist is a very personal process, and it often begins with a consultation. During our initial meeting, you have the opportunity to share the challenges you are facing while I explain my approach to therapy and give you a sense of how our work together unfolds. This consultation also provides a safe space for you to ask questions and determine whether our connection is the right fit for your unique needs.

In our first session, we begin by exploring the concerns you shared during our consultation and on your intake forms. You are welcome to share any part of your story and the events behind your challenges, which allows us to understand how these issues affect you emotionally, mentally, and behaviorally. We then reflect on the mental, emotional, and sensory processes that contribute to your current pain and immediately practice various techniques to address the negative thoughts, feelings, and bodily reactions that arise in the moment. I introduce mindful tools that resonate with you, and you practice these techniques until you notice a clear shift in your state before and after each session. This process releases the tension and triggers that have historically blocked you from overcoming emotional and mental obstacles. It also fosters a heightened sense of internal awareness and unique perspective that you learn to attune to and be guided by as you create a more fulfilling version of yourself and your life experiences.

Therapy isn’t about unloading everything at once, but about starting where it matters most to you. Over time, you’ll learn to attune to all the parts connected to the problem, conflict, or dilemma that is affecting you in the present moment.
As you move forward, you’ll develop the skills to gradually lower the defenses you consciously or unconsciously use to protect yourself from fears or perceived threats around fully exploring your experiences. This isn’t about forcing anything before you’re ready, but about creating a space where you can meet yourself with more trust and ease.
And as I always say, wherever you begin is perfect because it will lead us exactly where we need to go.

Therapy is a journey that may involve discomfort before leading to relief. Facing emotions, memories, or patterns that have been buried or protected for a long time can stir up difficult feelings. This doesn’t mean therapy is making things worse—it means you are engaging with what needs attention and creating an opportunity for resolution, rather than avoiding or suppressing it. That said, therapy isn’t about overwhelming you. It’s about pacing the work in a way that feels safe and manageable. You will develop skills to regulate emotions, process experiences with greater awareness, and build resilience along the way.
The healing process is not always straightforward. At first, confronting painful emotions or past wounds can feel overwhelming, but like a muscle, your ability to process them strengthens with practice.
As you learn to experience beyond the discomfort, its intensity lessens, and you gain clarity of a fuller truth that expands on your self-trust and connection to all that you are. Therapy helps you shift from feeling controlled by situations to mastering your emotions, choices, and responses with more freedom and intention.

Yes, I assign tasks, though they differ from conventional homework assignments. Instead, they are often a continuation of the processes we’ve explored and practiced in session. The aim is to extend our work beyond sessions, helping you apply new understandings in your everyday experiences.
Just as important as noticing what works for you is tracking any challenges or resistance that arise. Those difficulties are valuable information that reveal the next layer of emotions, thoughts, and behaviors for us to target in our next session. Therapy is about creating ongoing breakthroughs and shifts in real time.

I am an out-of-network provider. This means that I operate independently of insurance company contracts. With an out-of-network provider, therapy remains entirely focused on your needs rather than being dictated by insurance limitations. Without insurance restrictions, you are not limited in the number of sessions you can attend, allowing us to work at a pace that truly supports your growth and healing.
Because insurance is not involved, your employer does not need to know your diagnosis, and your therapy experience is kept confidential. You are also not restricted to a specific type of therapy, and we are not obligated to disclose details of your treatment to an insurance provider.
Many clients have out-of-network benefits, which may allow for partial reimbursement of session fees. I encourage you to check with your insurance provider to understand your specific coverage and reimbursement rates. To support this process, we provide Superbills, which include all the necessary details for you to file for out-of-network benefits and seek reimbursement from your insurance provider.
